چکیده

Introduction: Research has increasingly looked at the effects of sleep on athletic performance. Although there is currently a plethora data expressing detrimental deprivation performance, fewer studies have assessed extension. These all been done with field or team sport athletes and conducted who traditionally practice times later in day. Rowing early represents an under examined population high risk deprivation. The purpose present study was to determine what specific performance benefits would be gained from extending athlete’s sleep. Methods: Nineteen members Temple University’s men’s rowing were asked increase their nine ten hours night for four weeks, following two-week baseline period. A post-intervention phase followed extension Three assessments (Open rate 1-minute, Rate-capped Interval tests) daily HRV recordings captured each week. Results: Subjects unable extend during intervention, 392.07 ± 53.69 minutes 374.11 41.53 minutes, respectively (p = .137). Significant variation found week comparison test OR1-Min test. Conclusion: Athletes failed time asleep, limiting our ability assess impact Performance did suffer over course study, suggesting participants below he minimal amount necessary maintain Better athlete education by coaches might prove beneficial develop habits sufficient improved
